IMPLEMENT THE PLAN

New Frontiers is the national entrepreneurial development programme for ambitious early-stage entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas which have the potential to scale and provide employment.  It provides the skills, support, and confidence needed to make the leap to starting a successful business. The programme runs for three phases, Phase 1 “Test the Idea”, Phase 2 “Develop the Business” & Phase 3 “Implement the Plan”.

PHASE 3

Our Offering

Phase 3 “Implement the Plan” is a 3-month programme which is only open to those who successfully completed the Phase 2 “Develop the Business” Programme.  This programme is tailored to those who secure a place – participant input in essential to maximise the tailoring & relevance of this programme.

Who is this for

Individuals who completed the PHASE 2 PROGRAMME that have:

An Innovative Idea that has the potentia l to become an EI HPSU (High Potential Startup) Client (ie. Has the potential in 3 years to have a turnover of €1m with 10 employees).

Commercial Market Potential - Can show clear evidence of a commercial market for their proposed product/service with the market size & potential for the business clearly defined and articulated.

Compelling value Proposition (CVP) There is a CVP that has been validated by customers/ potential customers.

Are Ambitious & Growth Orientated – Have the drive & ambition required to commit & engage fully in all aspects of the programme to accelerate their startup.

The programme is for early-stage entrepreneurs with little or no experience in starting a business who are based, and intend to run their business, in Ireland. The programme is open to applicants over the age of 18 from a range of sectors including:

This phase can not be applied to directly. It is only open to those to complete phase 2 successfully. It is a competitive application to secure a place.

A High Potential Start-up (HPSU) can be defined as a company that is internationally focused and has the potential to employ at least 10 persons within 3 years of starting and to generate revenues of at least €1million. (defined by Enterprise Ireland)

We typically have 2 funded phase 3 places each year (participants benefit from the continuation of the stipend payment & a strategic mentor panel session). We also offer unfunded phase 3 places (these participants do not receive the stipend payment or strategic mentor panel session) however they have access to all workshops, events, desk space & get an additional 3 mentor sessions with their current EI Mentor).

Individuals are eligible to apply for, or to be in receipt of, at any given time, ONE of the following State supports awarded through public bodies: New Frontiers P2/P3 stipend, HPSU Start feasibility, EI Commercialisation Fund, Foodworks, Pre-Seed Startup Fund (PSSF), LEO Feasibility, Udaras Na Gaeltachta Feasibility. Disclosure of any funds received is required.

Failure to disclose any funding received or applied for at time of application may result in the suspension of future stipend payments.
