Empower
Who Should Apply?
Secondary School Students from transition year up to sixth year. Who have a desire to grow their innovative, entrepreneurial & creative skills from the Mid-West.
The annual free student programme, which is aimed at secondary school students from transition year up to sixth year, is designed to help young people from the Mid-West develop and grow their innovative, entrepreneurial and creative skills, while also giving them a unique opportunity to work on solving real-life problems.
Gillian Barry, Head of Innovation & Enterprise at TUS, described the programme as a collaborative effort between Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and Mary Immaculate College (MIC) in enhancing the skill needs of the region. “Every young person we work with has the potential to solve problems, to create, disrupt and impact our future in a positive way – to be the next generation of change makers.
For that to be fully realised it needs to be nurtured and developed. To power that potential, we have created this high quality, educational, activity-based programme.” There will be two opportunities to take part in this programme. More details to follow in 2023. We have just completed an October Midterm Programme 2022 with great success.
