Facebook is to establish an SME Council in Ireland as it aims to grow its usage amongst small businesses here. They are trying to increase the number of companies that use its business tools to communicate with customers and make sales, with the council acting as a way of spreading its message among the business community.

The council will also serve to offer feedback to the social media giant, to give it a better idea of what local businesses need in order to expand online.

New Frontiers Alumni BJ Broderick, Wellnice Pops have been invited to join the Council.
