Summary
An early part of the journey for Entrepreneurs involves building relationships, finding and engaging with providers, stakeholders and customers. To be successful in this will demand effective conversation skills. These skills are rarely learned at schools or colleges, yet can be pivotal in developing relationships and the trust which will yield results. Frank’s talk will provide us the essentials.
Further information
When we prepare for and engage with important business connections, our approach is often about what we want to say. However, it’s usually not about us! It’s more beneficial to say less, ask more questions and through attentive listening to discover what we need to know to meet others’ needs; this will make for a productive meeting.
The take-outs from this talk include 6 questions (only) we should ask, and 3 rules for listening with full attention. Frank will present these in a clear simple format so that they can be immediately put into everyday use, and easily remembered.
The outcome is to have productive conversations where we discover, to build relationships which embody trust, and to know that over time this will yield positive results.
